PCC Chemax, Inc has a full service analytical laboratory that includes FTIR , GC and HPLC capabilities. An experienced staff with a dedication to customer satisfaction enables us to identify product components and purity. This lab is also responsible for new product synthesis and supports the quality control staff when a detailed chemical profile is required.

Our analytical laboratory supports production by documenting reaction conditions and providing scale up batch quantities to substantiate performance attributes prior to full scale production. This allows us to offer customers trial volumes of product for market testing.

In 2006 PCC Chemax invested in a new Fourier Transmission Infrared Spectrometer and an HPLC which have greatly

increased our capabilities of more precisely defining our synthesized products as well as evaluating competitive materials in the industry. These precision instruments allow for accurate and expeditious data generation. Our GC is an additional source of information which is readily used to assist our customers in formula and product differentiation.
In addition to advanced instrumentation, our staff has years of experience in wet chemistry evaluations. We consistently provide customer support by performing column extractions, dry down solids, ionic separations and temperature based titre studies. Utilizing Brookfield technology, we can generate viscosity curves to assist customers in product handling.

In cooperation with our Quality Control department, our analytical laboratory can provide molecular weights, moisture content by Karl Fisher in addition to traditional surfactant testing which includes acid, alkali and amine values. Our laboratories utilize programmable automated titrators for acid-base measurements. Material color is measured by both Gardner and APHA methods.

Additional instrumentation includes a
refractometer, microscope, centrifuge and Retsch
sieve particle size analyzer.
