Chemax NDO-917

Chemax NDO-917 is a synthetic polymerized ester designed to enhance performance and finish in severe metalworking applications. Chemax NDO-917 has a molecular weight that gives it the right structure to replace chlorinated paraffin’s. It is a branch chain fatty acid which has excellent hydrolytic, oxidation and biostability properties. Chemax NDO-917 was made for water extendable fluids like soluble oils and semi-synthetics to provide excellent lubrication. Treatment levels of 1%-8% into the concentrate are suggested. Since Chemax NDO-917 is based on Tall Oil Fatty Acid which contains a higher unsaturation level, it is not recommended for neat oils or drawing and stamping applications where high temperatures are expected, because this could cause varnishing.
