Chemfac NB-041 is a 2-butoxyethanol phosphate in the free acid form. Chemfac NB-041 is a clear colorless to yellow viscous liquid at room temperature that is water soluble. It has a Gardner color of 8 maximum, an acid value at 9.5 pH of 580 – 640, a percent water of 1 maximum, a pH of 1% is 2.0 and a specific gravity of 1.27 at room temperature.

Chemfac NB-041 is a free acid phosphate ester, which exhibits good wetting, detergency and hydrotroping properties in alkaline systems of up to 20% NaOH. This product will also provide mild emulsification and corrosion inhibiting properties in metal cleaning formulations.
