Chemal D-25 is recommended for evaluation in wetting and detergent applications.
Chemal D-25 is a nonionic surfactant belonging to the group of alkoxylated long chain fatty alcohols. This product is C12-18 alcohol, ethoxylated, propoxylated. Chemal D-25 has excellent emulsifying and dispersing properties and is frequently used in the production of tablet and powder based detergents, including laundry and all-purpose applications. It also provides de-dusting attributes to powdered cleaners.
Chemal D-25 is offered as a clear, colorless to slightly yellow liquid, at 100% active content. With a cps viscosity of < 100, this product is easy to handle. At use dilution, < 1.0% (by weight) is necessary to achieve excellent cleaning and wetting properties. Because this chemistry contains propylene oxide, it offers a low foam profile which expands its applicability in multiple industries.
With an HLB of 12.6 this product is in the group of hydrophilic emulsifiers which are readily water soluble. This material has an aqueous cloud point of ~60°C making it extremely compatible in wide range of cleaners. Chemal D-25 is highly soluble in water, acetone and xylene in addition to multiple other solvents.
