Chemstat® 1280/60DCHF

Components of Chemstat® 1280/60DCHF are cleared for use by the US-Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA) a) as an antifog and antistatic agent in accordance with the Agency’s determinations under 21 C.F.R. §170.39, Threshold of regulation for substances used in food-contact articles, 96-007 98-005, and 98-021 as follows:

1) As an adjuvant (antifogging agent, antistatic agent) in polypropylene films, as regulated at 21 C.F.R. §177.152, having a maximum thickness of 100 um in contact with all types of food under Conditions of use A through H (Table 2, 21 C.F.R. §176.170); 2) As an antifog in all types of films at a maximum level of 2.3 mg/in2; 3) As an antifog in polyolefin films complying with 21 C.F.R. §177.1520 at a maximum use level of 2.53 mg/in2; b) 21 C.F.R. §184.1505, Mono- and diglycerides; where the substance is generally recognized as safe (GRAS); and c) 21C.F.R. §182.90 where the carrier is GRAS.
