Chemstat® 830/60DC works as both an internal antistat and lubricant for polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, and PVC resins.
Components of Chemstat® 830/60DC have US-Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA) approvals at
a) 21 C.F.R. §178.3130, Antistatic and/or antifogging agents in food-packaging materials, for use as 1) an antistatic agent for molded or extruded polyethylene containers, 2) as an antistatic agent in polypropylene films complying with §177.1520 of this chapter;
b) 21 C.F.R. §184.1555, Rapeseed oil where it is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS);
c) 21C.F.R. §182.90 where the carrier is GRAS.
Usage in molded or extruded polyethylene containers is not to exceed 1.67% by weight and is intended for contact with honey, chocolate syrup, liquid sweeteners, condiments, flavor extracts, and liquid flavor concentrates, grated cheese, light and heavy cream, yogurt, and foods of Type VIII as described in Table 1 of §176.170(c) of this chapter; and usage in polypropylene films is not to exceed 0.67% by weight and is used in contact with food of Types I, II, III, IV, V, VI-B, VII, VIII, and described in Table 1 of §176.170 (c ) of this chapter, and under conditions of use B through H described in table 2 of 176.170(c) of this chapter. The average thickness of such polypropylene film shall not exceed 0.001 inch (30 micrometers). Cites should be consulted for applicability to the intended usage.
