Polymax® MAS/80 is an 80% active solution of sodium dihexyl sulfosuccinate. Polymax® MAS/80 exhibits high foaming characteristics and may be used as a wetting/anti-pitting additive in plating baths. It is often used in combination with Polymax® APA-840 in electrolytic nickel systems.

Polymax® MAS/80 belongs to a line of products developed for plating applications. The Polymax® materials offer a variety of functions in both electroless and electrolytic plating baths. Low treat rates and diversity of chemistries offer economic and formulation options in numerous types of baths.

Polymax® MAS/80 is most commonly used as an anti-pitting and wetting agent in electrolytic nickel plating baths. The chemistry is a low molecular weight sulfosuccinate with a very high cloud point. It is an easy-to-handle non-viscous liquid which is used at 3.0-6.25 g/l in a typical bath.Polymax® MAS/80 is an 80% active solution of sodium dihexyl sulfosuccinate. This product produces a persistent foam which is suitable in the formation of a foam blanket. This attribute minimizes evaporation of the bath and increases bath life. Polymax® MAS/80 is often used in combination with Polymax® APA-840 in electrolytic nickel systems.
